Many of the compression brands in the market offer only ready-made garments that come in pre-set sizes. A small handful of manufacturers offer some level of customization. However, the responsibility to get the measurements correct and thus ensure the garment fits properly rests on you as the doctor which creates additional work and stress. Alternatively, this responsibility falls back to the patient to measure themselves with the help of a friend and online instructions. The number of measurements taken are very limited and if incorrect, can become a costly mistake for the patient.
FeelWell is the only brand dedicated to providing a bespoke service for patients with overweight and obesity. We can design a compression garment for patients with even the highest BMI. FeelWell Fitting Specialists™ are trained extensively to take measurements on any body type and morphology. They will help patients choose the right garment to meet their needs and will measure them to ensure the perfect fit. They take up to 21 specific measurements. Each garment is custom-made to fit only that one individual patient and if for any reason, the garment comes back and is ill-fitting, we will remake it at no extra cost. At this time, FeelWell does not process medical insurance claims. Your patient may have success in getting reimbursed if the garment assists with a medical condition. You patient should check with their insurance company to determine if the cost of the garment can be reimbursed.

We provide a bespoke service to your patients that ensures they are satisfied with the compression garment. We want them to be happy and comfortable wearing their garment. Thus we don’t have standard sizes that patients can try on as every garment is custom made to best fit your patient’s individual body type regardless of their BMI value.
It is natural for patients to give feedback directly to you. We encourage you to share this feedback with us. You can also ask the patient to simply call us or email us directly with any feedback. Garments
A good fitting compression garment is very important. FeelWell’s custom-made compression garments provide superior comfort and fit to ensure patient satisfaction and compliance with compression therapy.
Ready-made garments come mostly in pre-determined sizes. While these may be acceptable for some individuals, patients with overweight or obesity or unique body types may find it hard to not only find a garment that fits well but that can also be adjusted as weight is lost. Without the right fit, compression garments can become uncomfortable, reduce mobility, reduce quality of life and potentially lead to health problems including tissue necrosis or pressure damage (Miller 2017). With the right fit, compression garments can support an active lifestyle and help improve the quality of life for your patient.
Our garments are machine washable and durable. Having 2 garments gives your patient the flexibility to wear one while the other is being washed and dried. Also, your patient may want to have 2 garments with different features for different occasions (e.g. one for exercise and one for daily wear that can be worn to work comfortably under clothes).

No. Our Fitting Specialists are there to assist your patients with any questions they may have. Simply direct them to us and we will take care of them. In case a patient shows any aggravated symptoms directly or indirectly linked to the garment, please ask them to stop using the garment immediately and to check with our fitter as soon as possible.
The garments are designed for comfort and can be worn for an hour or the whole day. Some patients may wear the garment for several years whilst others may only need post-surgery garments for 6 weeks or less. It really comes down to the use of the garment and the needs of the patient. FeelWell Fitting Specialists™ will provide your patients with the recommendation as part of the patient consultation.
It depends on the needs of the patient. In the consultation between the patient and the FeelWell Fitting Specialist™, the fitter will not only take the patient’s measurements to ensure the right fit, but also take them through the different garment models and features. They will guide the patient and help pick a design with features that are most appropriate for their needs.

We strongly recommend wearing the garment immediately to provide the maximum support and pain reduction. The time frame needed to wear the garment will depend on the goal and result of the weight loss surgery. Most patients require the garment for 12-18 months post-surgery until the stabilization of weight is achieved. Our bariatric garments are adjustable and will follow your patient’s weight loss.

Yes. Our lifestyle brand is designed exactly for that and will help improve mobility and posture. It also helps psychologically to promote self esteem and improve proprioception. A key feature of this garment is that it can be adjusted as weight is lost either rapidly or gradually. Making adjustments as weight is lost is a good motivator to keep your patient on track to achieving their weight loss goals. Yes. It will depend on the goals of the patient. Some common uses are:
- Improving mobility and support – until the scheduled surgery, our garment will help your patient to improve mobility and experience less pain such as in their spine, knees and joints.
- Hernia support- our hernia garment can alleviate the pain associated with the hernia by mimicking the anatomy of the abdominal core wall. It can also be used as an alternative to surgery if the hernia is in-operable or the patient doesn’t want to have the surgery.
- Body contouring – Post bariatric surgery, your patients will undergo rapid weight loss resulting in excess skin. Our compression garments are great for supporting this excess skin and helps to improve silhouette. They could wear it until the surgery to remove the excess skin or as an alternative to this body contouring surgery which can be costly (by comparison, our garment will cost a fraction of body contouring surgery).
Patients with overweight and obesity are affected by a number of weight-related issues. Compression therapy can help alleviate some of these and potentially improve their quality of life. If your patient suffers from excess weight, has complex morphology due to excess skin or has a hernia, compression therapy can help. The average time before the garment does not fit anymore depends on the morphology and the weight loss of each individual. Our fitting specialist will guide your patient to determine if the compression is no longer enough and the garment needs to be changed.
